What is a good flat iron for my hair type?

I have fine/thin hair that tends to get a little wavy and frizzy and I have thought about getting a flat iron. I have never used one before so I could use the suggestions please.

A ceramic ones will cause the least damage and last longer.

The Chi is good but cereamic ones are a little cheaper and work just as well, you can get one at Sally's for around $60-$70. I like the ION straightener

You will wonder how you lived without one

Chi Ceramic Iorn.

Its perfect for all hair types, and leaves hair after feeling so soft and smooth, it's a tad expensive for a straightner but it's so worth it.

Google it :)

I'd get a CHI they are ceramic and works on basically any hair type. You won't be disappointed. I tried some ceramics that cost less before I bought a CHI years ago and I just waisted my money.

I use Conair Ceramic Techology. It's about $20 if you don't want to spend so much money on it. I have thick hair so I use the big one and it has a brush that you can take out on one side.

Get a 2" gold-plated ceramic one!

2" helps you straighten it faster

gold-plated reduces flyaways and split ends

ceramic makes your hair really soft!

Good luck!!!

[[don't overuse it though, once a day is PLENTY! I know you're thinking DUH, but most girls get addicted and use it more than 2x a day!!!]]

Something that has not been mentioned is temperature. If you have damaged or thin hair, then you might be better off getting a unit that has adjustable temperature. The reason is that you will most likely need to avoid the extremely high heat to minimize any damage that a straightener will cause (the good ones have adjustable temp settings). I would say go for one of the newer CHI Turbo models or any Sedu model. If you have really long hair than get a wide one (1.5" or 2"). For medium length or shorter hair, the 1" model will work fine.
