If you wax does it make the hair thinner and lighter?

I'm curious about that because because my sister waxed her arms and she says it looks like it's thinner. Also, if you wax how long does it take to grow back?

When you wax you are pulling the hair out from the root. It takes about a minimum of 3 weeks to fully grow back, but each time you wax the hair takes longer and longer to grow back. In some cases the hair may just give up and not re-grow

yes it does

My sister has her license for that and she says it does make hair grow in lighter

it sure does...but it hurts. It also can result in ingrown hairs. The amount of time it takes to grow back can be weeks.

Pulling out the hair from the root causes it to grow new rather then if you shave you cut off the hair it continues to grow and appears darker because the tip of it is now a flat surface rather then a thin gradually thickening one of a fresh hair.

I'm not so sure that it does. If anything, i've heard that it grows back thicker. I asked the woman who does my waxes, and she informed me that it has no change in thickness or color.

It takes about two weeks for things to grow back, normally.

never wax it makes your hair grow back twice as worst and darker!!!!!

I'm not sure that it is actually thinner. I think it appears thinner because the hair is growing the entire strand back instead of starting from the point that was chopped off. When you shave it cuts you hair off at it's thickest point and then continues to grow from there. I think that the hair follicule can become damaged and not grow back (this can happen with eyebrows) so you eventually have less hairs growing back.

I don't believe so , if that were the case laser were not worthy to try

pshhh people always say it grows back thinner and lighter...LOL but you know what ive never known anyone who its happened to...you know what causes it to grow thinner???? age....by the time your like 40 you arm hair falls out...so does your leg hair...my mother was on the hairy side when she was young...now she has no leg or arm hair....

If you wax does it make the hair thinner and lighter?

no , its doesn't make your hair lighter! its actually makes your hair grow back less than before you get it waxed. but then darker.

Once you do it for awhile it eventually makes the hair thinner, dont expect fast results tho. If you wax in a area were there isnt alot of hair it could cause more hair to grow.

If you wax does it make the hair thinner and lighter?

yes

Hair does not get thicker, thinner, lighter or darker because of waxing, shaving, pulling, etc.
