Is it true that if you use volumizing shampoo everyday it will eventually make your hair fall out?

My friend's hair stylist told her that if she uses volumizing shampoo, for her thin hair, everyday, it's harsh chemicals eventually makes your hair fall out!

no, its not the type of shampoo that causes this. You should never use the same shampoo for a long period of time. Actually, i tell my clients to buy 2 shampoos. All shampoos can create build up on the shaft and scalp. When you get build up you block the pores. When you block pores the sebum (heavy oil produced to promote growth and healthy moisturized hair) will build up and clog those pores. The papilla can not push the hair shaft up and this sometimes can be the cause to baldness or thinning hair. By switching shampoos every 2 weeks you can cleanse the scalp of the old build up and then switch back and do the same for the last shampoo used. I recommend the shampoo for the client's hair type, and also a clarifying or deep cleansing shampoo. If you very active you can use your shampoo and every other day or every 3rd day use the clarifying shampoo instead. I advice leaving the clarifying shampoo 3-5 minutes so it can strip build up and excessive oils. If your friend is being advised on a good professional shampoo she shouldn't have "harsh chemicals" in it. Stay away from lines like Pantene which claim to have tons of protein, its true they do, its not a good thing. Too much protein can cause a thick coating and build up and cause breakage. Hope this helps!

Well, yes. All hair falls out on its own anyway and replaces itself automatically, so there's really no difference or issue if it does.

Soon your hair will be so loud it will be asked to leave the neighborhood, so yeah.

It is true that hair will fall out, but not all at once. By this I am saying that it will fall out more easily. Since the hair is thin it will be easily pulled out of the scalp. Brushing hair isn't too recomended because lots of hair can come off with each stroke (depending on the condition of the hair at the time).

Probably not, but it will dry your hair out and make it as stiff as a board and brittle. Better to use a good scalp cleanser and conditioner. Get hair in the best shape possible. Take a good multi vitamin and eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Condition hair from the inside out.
