I need hair help!?

i have VERY poofy hair. It is also VERY curly. I usually use a flat iron but my hair is getting damaged. I would like to wear it curly or even scrunch it but it get frizzy or poofy. I have tried many things but nothing works. I got my hair thinned but that made it even frizzier. Ive tried volume deducer also but its still poofy. any good suggestions?
