Go to a salon and ask your stylist to thin out your hair, that's really the only solution.

Razoring and layering would probably be good options for you.

when you have your hair cut ask the hairdressed to thin it out for you.

it shouldn't be any more expensive than your usual cut.

Hair stylist and beauticians have hair thinner scissors, the top is like a comb and the bottom is a scissor blade, it's primary use is for thinning out hair. You can also get it layered .

Cheap is actually easy.

Buy a pair of thinning shears ... a good pair at Sally's shouldn't cost more than $15, and may be less.

You can thin your own hair. Thinning shears are specially made so it's easy to thin your hair. They look really funny !

Google images will show you what they look like.

Thick hair is great. You just need a proper cut. Ask your stylist to "under cut" your hair. Basically, that means they're cutting bulk from underneath the top layer of hair. Also some layering will help too.

Embrace your thick hair -- you're probably the envy of everyone around you!

Just about any hairdresser can use special thinning shears to get really thick hair trimmed down and made more manageable. Or for around $25 or so, you can buy those particular shears. I bought some on eBay for about $16 one time. The cutting edges of the shears are spaced, with breaks between where the hair isn't cut. That's how you get the thinning - cutting some sections of hair and leaving others.

Browse around on the internet. My bet is you'll find them. They might even have them, or can get them for you through a beauty supply shop.

If at all possible try not to do this yourself. Big NO, NO! When you go to get your haircut. Explain to your stylist that you would like to get rid of the thick full look. You will have three options. Thinning, Texturizing or Layering. I would try texturizing as some stylist think texturizing and thinning are the same thing anyways. Layering is more difficult because then you have to decide if you you like long or short layer. If you would like a new style try the layering. Do not ask for a undercut. A undercut is mostly done to force the hair to turn under. Most people that get is people that wear their hair straight down or wearing a Bob. Consult with the stylist first so that you both can be on the same page to be on the safe side.
