YOU WOULD WANT TO DO LONG LAYERS.......SOME PEOPLE CANT DEAL WITH THINNING......THE TEXTURE OF HAIR REALLY IS WHAT MAKES THINNING GOOD......

layers are good since it helps the hair curl better and curly hair looks aetter long since it gets wavy at the top and curls into locks at the bottom.
