what would i have do if im allergic to shampoos?

What would happen if i used soap in my hair?

constant use of the soap will dry out ur hair but other than that, it wont do much except clean it

What would happen if i used soap in my hair?

Soap will make your hair dryer and more static-y.

What would happen if i used soap in my hair?

it will dry out...

What would happen if i used soap in my hair?

it would clean your hair and scalp, I do it everynow and then and find that my hair is a little more manageable and thicker looking

You should be okay. It might dry your hair out, and if it does just try different kinds until you find the right one for you.

Soap would leave a residue on your hair that would make it look dull. You could get away with using soap for a while then switch back to shampoo when your hair gets dull.

I used it on a camping trip across country once and that is what happened.

my husband has used bar soap on his hair all his life, his hair is short and he says, "why waste time in the shower grabbin for different things to wash with." lol it has never hurt him, its a cleaner just like shampoo, go for it, it will not harm you in anyway!

I would think that hand soap would make your hair dry.

You can try organic hair shampoo sold in the natural dept. in any grocery store.

soap would completely dry your hair out...neutrogena has great shampoos for people with allergies.

The ingredients most people are allergic to in shampoo are fragrance and preservatives; though sodium laurel sulfate is a big culprit as well.

See if you can find "organic" shampoo that doesn't contain any of these.

Soap is just going to dry out your hair. If you have to use it, use one with moisturizer in it.

What would happen if i used soap in my hair?

well this will sound stupid but nothing happens.

ive try that for reals.

It wouldn't be good for your hair or scalp. It's too abrasive and will remove too many of the natural oils that keep your hair and scalp healthy and strong. Handsoap is going to be really hard on you, especially if you have a sensitivity to shampoo.

If you're allergic to shampoos, then try getting something really mild, like Johnson %26amp; Johnson baby shampoo. Sounds strange, but give it a try. I know people who use this all their lives because they're scalp dries out too fast otherwise. You could also try hypo-allergenic shampoos. There's an online store called AllerG, Inc. They specialize in selling hypoallergenic hygiene and care products, including shampoo and conditioner. Here's the site:

Burt's Bees is also a great maker of very mild natural products, including shampoos. They have some shampoos that even come in bar form, if that's what you prefer. Here's the site:

You will strip all the natural oils from your hair and damage your scalp by using regular soap. You would be better off to use a dry shampoo product that you work into your hair to cleanse it, then comb out to restore it. Unless you've been in a mud fight, you don't HAVE to use shampoo frequently.

Also check with your dermatologist for a hypoallergenic shampoo that will be gentler on you. Many homeopathic centers sell them. The sulfates in regular shampoos do cause problems. These formulas are more natural and don't have all the chemicals that damage your scalp.

nothing

What would happen if i used soap in my hair?

It really depends on the condition of your hair to begin with.

If your hair is chemically treated in anyway, then it will be drier than it would normally be in its normal state. In saying this not any old shampoo is going to be any good for your hair either.

Basically shampoo is a stripper, and it takes out the dirt and natural residues, so therefore its not too much different than soap, however a good professional shampoo and conditioner are made to protect the hair whilst cleaning it. Rather like going into a chemist, you can get prescription ranges for your hair.

If your hair is chemically damaged, or treated, it will be lacking in protein, if your hair is naturally curly, it could be lacking in moisture... therefore there are specifics for different types of hair. Whether you have coloured hair, had your hair chemically altered with curls or straightened, there are also sunscreens for hair.

Assuming that you are allergic to shampoos, then there are also professional shampoos available for people with sensitivities.

Redken, Kerastase and Rusk are three that I prefer to use on my hair, and I too have sensitive skin. The price is high, but my hair feels better than it would if I used soap. Might as well use dishwashing liquid instead of soap.

You are unlikely to experience hair loss, or thinner hair... it will be too clean, as it will strip ALL the natural oils from your hair....
